Wearable Art
My jewellery is an extension of the way I paint — intuitive, experimental and led by colour, texture and the materials themselves.
I create one-of-a-kind pieces using copper, reclaimed and vintage tin, lead-free soft solder, resin, sea glass, natural stones and found or repurposed materials. Copper is hammered, folded, heated and textured by hand, creating irregular surfaces, ridges and marks that make every piece individual.
My work is influenced by the raw simplicity of Wabi-Sabi and Brutalist design — celebrating imperfection, asymmetry, texture and the beauty of materials that show the hand of the maker. I’m also continually drawn to the coast: weathered rock, eroded surfaces, sea-worn fragments and the changing colours of land and water.
Some pieces are bold and sculptural, while others incorporate tiny fragments of sea glass, shell or vintage materials. I particularly love jewellery that is tactile — pieces that feel as interesting in the hand as they look when worn.
Alongside my metalwork, I continue to reuse old and forgotten materials, particularly vintage tin, giving them a new life within contemporary jewellery.
Each piece is individually made rather than reproduced, sitting somewhere between adornment and small-scale wearable sculpture.
